From an early age Comedian Jacob Ray has been making people laugh. Jacob first hit the stage
in 2002 at the Funny Bone in Indianapolis, IN. He then entered the "Jumbo Comedy Workshop"
comedy competition, where he placed first out of a total of forty-seven comedians.He also
recently took second place in a "B.E.T." regional talent competition in which hewas the only
"white" performer in the group.
Having early success, Ray was able to use his down-to-earth, real-life humor to attain work as a comedian.
He has worked at such clubs as: The Funny Bone (Indianapolis, IN), Comedy Caravan (Louisville,
KY), Crackers Comedy Club (Broadripple, IN, Indianapolis, IN), Wiley's (Dayton, OH), Funny
Bone (South Bend, IN), One-Liners Comedy Club (Greenwood, IN), and Bears (Bloomington, IN.)
Bookers and talent scouts immediately noticed Jacob's level of talent and he went on to
perform in such venues as The Murat Theater with the "Bruce Bruce Comedy Tour", the American
Cabaret Theater (headliner), the Egyptian Room (a two man show with "D-Roq", and he also
headlined the Circle City Classic (the second largest African-American festival in the
Mid-West.)
Jacob has worked with comedians such as: Earthquake, Bruce Bruce, John Henton, John Fox, Troy Davis, Adam Ace, D-Roq, Greg Hahn, Brett Clauson and many others.
